Annan has one of the top non-league senior clubs in Scotland.

Annan Athletic Football Club run senior teams in the East and South of Scotland Leagues, Sunday Amateur League, boys teams at several age groups and a soccer school for primary school children (boys and girls).

The club was formed in 1942 and during its brief history has won many honours and competed in some memorable Scottish Cup Matches against Stranraer, Ayr United, Queens Park, Berwick Rangers, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Brechin City and Greenock Morton.

The club's pinnacle of success came in 2006-07 when both the Tennent's Qualifying Cup (South) & the Tyreman East of Scotland Premier League Title were won.

The clubhouse, training facilities and ground are at Galabank, North Street, Annan.
